Welcome to Smokefree Enfield! We’re excited to have you on board and look forward to achieving great things together.
Our HSF employee benefit service offers a monthly update on health and wellbeing tips available for all our Solutions 4 Health teams to enjoy. This can be viewed by clicking on the links below:
The transition from HSF Health Plan to the HSF Optilife Plan is in process and will take place on the 1st of November. You will be enrolled into Core, the level of cover funded by Solutions4Health. OptiLife includes cover for pre-existing conditions, 100% reimbursement up to category limits, and extends child cover up to 21 years old. You will receive an email once your policy has commenced, confirming your policy details, terms and conditions, and guidance on next steps.
Action Required:
- Re-register on the portal using your new policy number
- Re-add your children
- If you wish to change your plan, you can increase your level of cover
- Any claims/receipts dated from and prior to 31st October 2025 will be processed under your old policy.

We are pleased to share on Monday 6th October, we held our first enhanced company induction session, welcoming new starters who have joined us over the past few months. The refreshed programme has been designed to provide a more engaging and informative introduction to our company covering our vision and values, key business areas and useful resources. Feedback from participants has been very positive.
A huge thank you to everyone involved in planning and delivering the session for ensuring our colleagues start their journey with us feeling informed, connected, and inspired. Have you used the Praise function on Bright HR lately? It’s a simple but powerful way to recognise and thank your colleagues for the great work they do every day.
This month, Sarah Combstock, Sexual Health Support Worker in the Herefordshire Sexual Health Service, praised Veronica Balestra, Head of Herefordshire Sexual Health Service and the whole of the Herefordshire team. Sarah said “I am giving praise to my manager Veronica and my colleagues at THE SEXUAL HEALTH CLINIC .They are the most hardworking caring team who put patients above and beyond. I have been working at the clinic for nigh on 3 years and am sadly leaving this lovely small team. Their dedication is remarkable, always improving the service in the clinic for the patients and the wider community. They are kind, supportive and I will truly be sad to leave this fantastic team.”

As we approach the end of 2024, we want to take a moment to reflect on what we have achieved together and share our gratitude for your dedication and hard work.
This year has been important for Solutions 4 Health, one of growth but not without challenges. Each of you has played a key role in delivering services and making a difference in the lives of the people and communities we serve. Your commitment and teamwork continue to drive our success, and we appreciate your efforts throughout the year.
Your work has been critical to our achievements, launching new initiatives such as our stop vaping services for young people and projects to improve and evolve our existing service offers. Through your efforts, we continue to grow and develop as an organisation.
Looking ahead to 2025, there are exciting opportunities on the horizon. We will welcome new contracts early next year and expand our reach, bringing new service areas into the Solutions 4 Health family—more on this to follow! This growth will allow us to build on what we do well and find new ways to positively impact health and wellbeing.
We hope you take time over the festive break to rest, recharge, and spend time with your loved ones. To support this wish, each staff member will receive an additional £25 in their December pay.

Dr Anne Oliver (SAS Doctor within the Sexual Health 4 Newcastle service) has been appointed the next Treasurer of BASHH for a 2-year term. She’s the first SAS doctor to have a board role and also the first female Treasurer. She’s looking forward to getting started and promoting both SAS doctors and the North within BASHH.

“I would like to congratulate Anne on this remarkable achievement. Although the Newcastle service has only just joined the Solutions 4 Health family, this is fantastic news. The British Association of Sexual Health and HIV (BASHH) are the leading UK organisation for advising the DH on policy within the field of sexual health and HIV care and produce the clinical guidance that underpins everyday practice. Therefore, for one of own to be serving on the national committee is a positive achievement to be celebrated and by supporting Anne within this role, demonstrates the commitment Solutions 4 Health has for ensuring evidence based best practice within public health.”
